COPAA’s 24th Annual Conference

It was a pleasure to attend this year’s national special education law and advocacy conference in Boston, after a long hiatus. We dug into topics including litigating IDEA rights of incarcerated students, representing students in foster care, and advocating for behavioral services in rural areas. I also got to catch up with my former coworker Christine Porter, now at the juvenile division of the public defender’s office in Pittsburgh and forever accomplice for educational justice.
